The purpose of the flash-ball net is to stop LBD40 ammunition, avoid any bounce back towards the shooter as well as protect the rubber curtains from direct impacts.

Use and characteristics of the flash-ball net
It is generally placed in front of the anti-ricochet curtains and fixed on a multi-stranded steel cable. It is divided into two parts if the shooting range is wide. As a safety measure, the flash-ball net folds to one side of the shooting range when not used and can be protected by a lateral baffle covered with ballistic tiles.
The threads of the net have a thickness of 2mm and the meshes are 20mm wide. It is made of high tensile and UV-stable Multifilament polypropylene (PPM) in order to offer an optimal level of safety.
It was tested at the test laboratory of the French Police and gives full satisfaction.
